Welcome to my family blog. I have been married to Mike for over half of my life. I love my Savior, Jesus. I am a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom to six terrific, interesting children. My 3 oldest were born to me in my younger years, while my 3 youngest were given to me by God in my older years. I am very blessed. ~Cheri

Words

After coming upon this in my pantry door frame...

I began to think of all the strange happenings in our house.  When you have a home with any number of children, there is bound to be unusual happenings.  Sometimes, words come out of my mouth that I thought I would never utter...

"Don't put worms in your pocket again.  They will die."
"Get your gun and pink back pack out of the hall closet."
"Get your toes out of your sister's nose."
"Stop licking your sister."
"You don't have to eat all of your dinner if you don't want to."
"Stop scaling the walls of the barn."
"Put the machete down and come eat dinner."

If you've been reading my blog long enough, I'm sure you can guess who I have said some of these quotes to.  Ah, life with children.  They make you laugh and cry, sometimes within the same day.

5 kind words:

Vicky

I love this!

Judi

Hahaha! Love it! Any parent can totally relate!

These are hysterical!

I'm kicking myself now that I can't remember. But a few weeks back, Caleb did something to Madeline and I responded with something so weird sounding...and I immediately thought of you and hour household!

Liz

LOL funny!!

Sam

I once had to yell at the top of my lungs "The next person to fling a bugger at anyone will be walking home!" It was said to 30 JR High Youth Group kids on our way home from Cedar Point (amusement park). That was a long 6 hour bus ride home! I once told my son not to lick the cat. Yeah... Been there, done that!
