Welcome to my family blog. I have been married to Mike for over half of my life. I love my Savior, Jesus. I am a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom to six terrific, interesting children. My 3 oldest were born to me in my younger years, while my 3 youngest were given to me by God in my older years. I am very blessed. ~Cheri
This photo was taken in a village home in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China in 2006. The trip to that village humbled me; seeing the way the people lived. Seeing a simple bamboo chair in the middle of a plain, concrete room. It says so much, still.
Head on over to Ni Hao Yall and see all the great photos and play along.
4 kind words:
I was in Nanchang in 2008 and also saw some life changing things in a small village. Wow!!
Great photo.
Beautiful!
I'm really hoping to capture better images on our next trip to China. Third time is a charm, right?
Amazing how a single chair can conjure up so much in one's imagination. Lovely photo.
I have no idea how I came across your blog. I think maybe Rumor Queen ... was paging through it and saw this chair. We just got a referral for a little girl from Jianxin Social Welfare Institute of Jiangxi Province. We loved our in province experience when we adopted our son. I can't wait to take it all in again! This chair brought tears to my eyes.
Blessings
Julie
