Welcome to my family blog. I have been married to Mike for over half of my life. I love my Savior, Jesus. I am a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom to six terrific, interesting children. My 3 oldest were born to me in my younger years, while my 3 youngest were given to me by God in my older years. I am very blessed. ~Cheri

Wise Words of a Six Year Old

This sweet girl made me cry.  Her words choked me up - my first real tear-filled emotions regarding Jordan's departure.

Eva:  When is Jordan leaving?
Me:  Tuesday morning, hun.  Tuesday morning.
Eva:  And she's not coming back?
Me:  Not to live with us.  Just for visits like your grandmother.
Eva, with a tremendous look of sadness:  I don't want her to leave.
Me:  Me either.
Eva:  It's too bad we have to grow up so fast.

It was at those lasts words that I somewhat lost it in front of my family.

7 kind words:

Stephanie

I'm all teary now, too.
Praying for you over this weekend...leading up to Tuesday.

I would've lost it too! Wow. She's beautiful and insightful.

Praying you are cherishing every minute you have left before Jordan departs.

Holly

My heart feels for you.

Judi

Oh, wow. Her words made me cry. Praying for all of you. It is hard on the younger siblings as well. When our son got married, our daughter with Down Syndrome sat so sadly after the reception. When we asked her what was wrong, she said, "He was a nice brother. I'm going to miss him." She knew it was never going to be quite the same. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Kristi

such a wise little lady! Hugs to you Mama as one of your babies prepares to leave the nest

The Landes Family

I am praying for you my sweet friend. My Tyler leaves for basics June 12th.
