An all-natural Slip 'N Slide! What else? It had actually rained quite a bit first. Then Jack and Seth went outside. Ivy came in and asked if she could "slide on the grass". I was not sure what she meant, but quickly found out that it meant this:
and this...
Once the boys splattered Ivy with the cold, wet mud, she decided she did not want to "slide on the grass". But, the boys had a lot of fun, even though they messed up the yard (it will grow back). They were quite muddy when they were finished. So, they stripped down to their skivvies and hosed themselves off (I'm thankful for my 3 private acres of land).

My boys LOVED those pictures!!!!! I'm glad you had more grace about it than I may have shown ;-)

(I'll do an adoption update soon, all I can say S-L-O-W due to some interesting things on a "national" level if you know what I mean...grrrr)
Looks like a lot of FUN! My kiddo's would have loved that but I'm not too sure I would have. LOL When it rains hard here we get HUGE puddles in our backyard and the kids love to play in them. If it keeps them out of trouble, right!
Oh my!!! Briley is looking over my shoulder and asking me when we can get a "grass slide". Good thing we live where there are no hills!
Congrats on 4 months home, Ivy!!!
Oh my goodness that is so funny! Looks like something our boys would do. LOVE our property, it's so beautiful!
I have some exciting news! We have accepted the referral of a precious 2 yr. old boy waiting for us in Wuhan, Hubei, China! I am beyond excited to be going back to China so soon!! Just wanted to share this with you.
HI From our vacation Cheri. :) Congratulations on 4 months with Ivy. I wanted to ask if Grace (Ma Qiao) and Ivy could speak on the phone when we get back. She has been talking a lot about her this trip. Apparently they rode a bumper car together once in China. :)
Love the mud slide. You're right! The grass will grow back and those are some priceless photos!

OH my goodness that is hysterical!! HOW FUN!!! I'll send my crew right over!! Saw your comment on the blog, #6 would be our 6th son, when I referenced #6/#2 I meant the 6th son but the second adopted child, same kid. Whew! I think I should be more caffeinated before I blog?! Maybe that would help! LOVE your blog!
HAHAHA!! Love those pics!! Cheri, I am so happy to see your latest addition to the family. Ivy is beautiful, as are the rest of your sweet babes. Wow, I have lots of catching up to do.
Thank you for stopping by. I sure have missed ya!
Hugs!
