I'm glad it is spring time here in Virginia. Our "winter" doesn't really hit us until late January, February, or even March. And when it does...it is beautiful. And this year it was a lot.
There is just something about going down a snow-covered slide...
Usually, we get snow, it warms up to the 40's, and it is gone the next day. That wasn't the case this year. It hung around a long time. Parking lots had piles of snow for a couple of weeks. Then it snowed again. And again.
It stayed cold long enough to make tunnels, sled, and burst a water pipe in our house.
Moxie LOVED chasing the girls when they went sledding. The girls, on the other hand, weren't too thrilled with her interventions.
As much fun as they had, they enjoyed riding their bikes and scooters today... wearing shorts...in 70 degree temperatures. Good-bye Winter, hello Spring!
4 kind words:
Hard to imagine Spring...we have about 5 feet of snow on the ground! I will be so glad to see a daffodil.....maybe by May! We had to shovel the roof and it made huge mounds and our dog climbed tbem and got on the roof! It has been a long winter.
Your girls looked like they had so much fun in the snow. It has been a long winter here with snow yesterday. Looking forward to spring here as well! Soon, I hope!
Hello, Cheri! I enjoyed your pictures! :-) I love snow and winter, but I'm looking forward to Spring too. My daffodils will be opening up soon. Looks like Moxie enjoys the snow as much as our Lilly does. :-)
So sorry about the water pipe! We had one bust at the church last winter. Oh what a mess it was, and what made it worse was that it wasn't noticed for several days. Water water everywhere!
Hope you have a great week! ♥
Your pictures of the kids in the snow are beautiful. One of these days on our way thru, we'll get together, my friend :) With two kids in the south now, we come your way to see them.
